When you wonder if you really are on the road to Cloncurry you come to a small service town of McKinlay, and just as you do, look to the left and there is a bare fenced enclosure that is the somewhat forlorn cemetery.

Nevertheless, sombody has looked after it well, all things considered, and it is neat and somehow eternal in that vastness. There is a panel erected at the entrance gate that lists many of those interred; these are indicated in this list with a blue 'P', for the panel does not entirely agree with the information on the stones you can read. As a consequence, I have given the data on the stones priority.
