This file contains data drawn initially from a family genealogy 'Tides of Time' about the family of Capt. J.J. Stanaway, an early pioneer of the Kaipara Harbour of New Zealand. While the data stems from the one original source it has been added to and modified to include many other elements of that geographical area, plus it has been cross-linked with many existing files already on this web site. It will take months to assemble and integrate all these files, and we rely on YOU to correct errors and add material. It is meant to be a resource for you, and your family. Note that this file includes many cases of adopted and/or fostered children. It is not always clear from the file if all of this is correct, or indded known. We have accordingly used discrete ( * ) codes to indicate the reported status of a person, without necessarily stating what is known.
