Gimmerburn is a small settlement in what is known as the Maniototo, near Ranfurly. There are several routes you can take from Ranfurly but in essence it is nearly on the southern side of the shallow valley. As a settlement it is now only a locality and was established in the same era at Ranfurly; the latter had the good fortune to become a rail terminus and therefore grew while the surrounding places became less.

Since for us this is a recent cemetery we have entered the headstone details dorectly into the live database.

We have now gone to a live on-line database called MOP ('Myra's Other Place') and the records listed below are steadily being copied over. Once a record is there a green tick will show alongside the entry. The MOP database has a lot more than just cemetery records and is worth checking out here where you can log in as Guest password guest.
