This file has been constructed from the 'ROSS-GASTMEYER Family History', which was compiled by Donald Ross. The book has been very well done, complete with very early photographs, and covers the period to approximately 1973, and happens to include a large number of BLUCHER family members. Indeed, we are indebted to David Blucher of Canberra, who noted with surprise the details in another BLUCHER file we have about a NZ family who moved to Australia from NZ at about the same time. To date we have no evidence that the families are related, but would very much like to hear from any person who does know more.
Because the families described here are early pioneers of South Australia, there are naturally a series of links to other SA files such as KOERBER and WECKERT. In linking these files additional material has been included where appropriate, including some references from the IGI site. Where this latter has occurred the submitter(s) of record is shown.
